Ford Transit Problems
I have a 2006 Ford Transit 2.0 Duratorque, the problem is that it has developed a servious engine knock, On further investigation the cam housing is loose, this is what was causing the knock. I have had this tightened however once started after about 5 minutes the same happens and it is loose again?
Any ideas (1) what caused this
(2) How to fix this.

When you say the cam housing, do you mean the rocker assembly?
Timing chain tensioners are known to fail on these engines which causes the valve timing to jump, breaking cam carrier where the rocker shafts bolt on.
If this is the case and the cam carrier itself is damaged, you'll need a new cylinder head as the cam carrier and head are not available seperately.
Hope this helps,
Karl

Im sure you will find Ford do a updated timing chain set, we had quite a few at work with jumped timing/broken rocker arms and shafts etc and had to fit the new chain kits
