Hi lads, I've just put a engine into my frst, doesnt seem to hold oil pressure, oil light came on wen I started da car, it said it's about 11psi on da gauge at max and wen I rev it it goes up to 25psi maybe more and the oil light goes off, took the oil feed off the turbo and it just splutered out oil.. I've put a oil cooler kit on too and hav made sure to keep the air locks out.. Does anyone have any tips that will help me find out what the problem is, p.s. It seems to pump oil fine as checked it for that.. Thanks lads..

 

Need help lads because no one has a clue what's going on.. Do you think I might need to upgrade the oil pump to cope with the oil coolers large pipes..

 

has the engine had a rebuild recently? is it a new pump or old?

it could be a number of things; the strainer could be clogged, as could the pick up pipe.

 

No wasn't a rebuild just a 2nd engine put in while the old one gets a overhaul, I'd say the pump is old.. It's my everyday car so need it sorted otherwise noting get done on the old one.. What else could it be.. The engine ran fine b4 hand as far as I know..
