Question 2wd drive shafts

Been stripping my old cossie to swap the parts to the new one I bought (see "back to my roots" thread) and found a bit of play in the drive shafts. To be honest they've been in the car since new (21 years) and had to deal with over 500 bhp for the last couple so are more than due for change.

Anyway my question is are 2wd drive shafts the same as either 4x4, or escos rear drive shafts? Can't seem to find any new ones for sale on t'internet anywhere for a 2wd. Have seen some group A, and group N ones for sale various places, but not sure if they are a straight swap over? They look the same length, and obviously 2wd ones are different lengths.

Anyone clarify please, or recommend somewhere I can get NEW 2wd drive shafts.

Cheers.
Matt.

2wd shafts are thicker then 4x4 & escos ones and use larger flanges and bolts.

You could just buy the new joints and remake your own or driveshaftuk, or reco-prop uk.

Good advice there, managed to get new joints ordered up, will swap them over and keep the original shafts, I'm pretty sure they'll be fine, and just the joints worn.
Many thanks Tabetha.
