Default Open airfilter?

Hello.

Sorry if my english isn't that good, but im not from england.

I have a quistion.

I have a ford fiesta mk4 1.3 endura.

If i put a open airfilter on it.

Is it than just plug and play or should i make some fuel adjustments.

Cause im afraid that if i put one on it, the engine need's more fuel cause its getting more air.

And a nother thing, if i put one on it will it perform better.

Or whil it just make a nice sound?.

Thanks for your help and sorry for my poor english.

Gerard.

it will just make a better sound,
with such a small engine though, the percentages are so small that i dought if it would gain or lose you much anyway.

the fueling will change but there should be enough "give" in the engine map to run fine

the ECU can adjust a small amount to compensate, the 1.3 came with and without MAF's so see which one you have.

Its a small aluminium pipe about 3 inches long by 3 inches wide with a conector plugged into it.

if it has one then it is better suited to it, but like i say, it shouldent make much difference

Ok my car has a maf sensor so a k&n kit cant fit cause of the maf sensor?.

Then the best buy is a universal airfilter?.

And then its plug and play? no further adjustments?.

i think K&n make 2, one for a MAF and one for ones without a maf

then it is just fit and forget.

other than the noise
