Warranty Magnex full stainless steel ??? (FRST)
Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me, I've owned my FRST since October last year, it came fitted with a full Magnex stainless steel exhaust. Over the last few weeks it's been blowing and it feels like it's moving quite a lot underneath the drivers footwell, this might also explain the noise I'm getting when braking heavily after a motorway run (http://www.fiestaturbo.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=94373).
I finally got around to taking it upto the garage to get it up on the ramps, they said inbetween the front pipe and middle section there is a piece of stainless steel flexi which is shagged. They said it's a custom fit exhaust and they can't do anything with it, basically 'we don't want to touch it sir we can only fit standard stuff'.
As I didn't have the exhaust fitted does anyone know if I'd be covered under warranty by Magnex and who would I need to contact??
Also does anyone else have a Magnex fitted to a FRST who could tell me if they also have this piece of flexi inbetween the front pipe and middle section??
I've been told that the flexi part itself is gonna cost me around £70 just for the part, anybody know of any specialists in the Sheffield area that could sort this cheap??
Many thanks,
Nick.

can help with any specialists in the sheffield area mate, try speaking to magnex to see if theres any distributors in your area.
Regarding the warrenty, when you brought the car did the previous owner give you the warrenty card for the exhaust ? What you have to do is get the exhaust checked every year at a garage and then they will put there stamp on it. Without this you have no warrenty Im affraid. Hope this helps.

I have a receipt for Well Lane Turbo Centre from 6 years ago when it was bought but that's it.
I've been down to EXHAUST UK in Sheffield (as recommended by a mate) and they are gonna replace the flexi for me on Monday, £100 though!!
Thanks for letting me know about the warranty though, that's answered that question at least.
Cheers,
Nick.

I had my previous Magnex system for years after which I informed them that the gaskets in the flexible joint were gone. I got new ones for free. After some years I did it gain. Never needed to prove anything for anyone.
