hi, i have a mk4 escort estate. at some point one of the boot struts has been damaged where its mounted to the boot lid, the hole was drilled out and now it cant be fitted back in.

i am after a single replacement strut for the other side powerful enough to keep the boot lifted.

any ideas? i thought about using one from a big estate or people carrier etc but if anyone has done this before the info is appreciated. i preferably would like one that can be fitted into the original holes although i know that may be pushing it.
