Default sierra cosworth engine managment failure

i havea ford sierra cosworth 2wd 1986.

can someone help me with a peoblem i keep having engine management failure.

this car will start up, tick over ok. but when i put it under load it will start to splutter at about 2000 rpm and engine management light will come in and backfire.

we disconnected wire fom ecu and wire back. distributer. no change.

ive changed on the car
phase sensor, and set up 02-03mm
ive changed rpm/tdcsensor and set up 0.4-1.0mm

ive disconnected wire from rpm/tdc sensor and wire back. to ecu. no change. tried ecu in another car, run ok.
this car has had new
coil
leads
plugs
coolant sensor
aircharge censor
map sensor
changed injectors which is runs yellow.
new fuel filter
air filter

this car has had full paint inside and out and it seems a shame just to burn it!!!

Could be loads of things, mostly cheap though, check the co when hot, is what the chip maker wants it at, check pump voltage UNDER LOAD.
If loom degrades as much as they normal do could have several high resistance points.
Probably be quickest cheapest in the long run to book it in somewhere so it can be done on the rollers, but I would rewire the fuel pump and fan circuit first.

Check phase sensor ALIGNMENT is perfect.

Check the fuel delivery and press. under load with a mech. press. gauge, sounds like a partially blocked fuel filter or delivery problem.
Seeing as your sierra has got a warning light why don't you put a code reader on it
and see if you get any faults recorded.
