Default New turbo, easy as bolt it on?

hi guys,

i have got a T34.48 being overhauled and serviced at the moment to replace my Standard T3.

My Cossy is standard apart from a Stage 1 PTS chip, Group A air filter, group A coil and motorsport leads, Magnex exhaust and -31 actuator to run 16psi.

can i just bolt my new turbo on with no problems or do i need to get a new chip, larger injectors and set up?

id imagine youd need a new chip to up the fueling to match the extra air pressure but the injectors should cope with the extra fuel

im not going to up the air pressure, its still going to run at 16 psi, but i was curious due to the amount of air flow

i would get the chip sorted, granted there won't be a chage in presure, but flow would be different and may alter the volumetric efficiency quite a bit.
i'm on megasquirt and the tiniest chages to componants can really effect the map e.g. when changine from an rst turbo to a 4wd cossie one the map changed significantly.

As said needs a new chip to suit the new turbo, more specifically the exhaust housing size which is critical.

MSD, Julian Godfrey and the likes are all reputable when it comes to chips they could also set up for you at the same time but depends on where you are and how far you are prepared to travel, the no no is to go on the likes of the bay and buy a cheap one, there cheap for a reason and will only cause you a costly problem! Good HG's can be had for under £100 but you then have the labour charges on top if someone else is fitting.

A HG on these is kids stuff, so DIY is your friend!!
Lots of good and bad chips out there, few variations on the same theme too, NMS gunship is interesting and effective.
