ok bear with me. I had a 1.4 CVH PTE engine in my car which runs with same fuelling system as Zetec (SEFI) but I replaced it with a 1.6 CVH EFI from an XR3i which runs on EFI fuelling. Now my car wouldnt run with the XR3i ECU due to it needing an EDIS4 module which my car doesnt have, but does run with a 1.6 Zetec ECU. The car doesnt run 100% but does run ok, I think the fuelling is out due to zetec being a 1.6 dohc 16v whereas the cvh is only sohc 8v. Now what I wanna know is can the Zetec ECU be reproggrammed to work right or do I need to rewire the whole loom and put the original ECU back in?
