cossie alternator upto charging a 70AH 760 amps battery?!
Just got hold of a free varta battery thats 70AH and 760amps, not gonna put it on just yet as its obviously a round terminal one and i'd need to get new ones to fit it but just wanted to make sure the cossie alternator is capable of charging a battery with that capacity?! beleive its an AGM one too! impressed with it as its been sitting around for ages now and its still got 12v in it!!

lovely cheers, gonna rewire all the power leads at some point and got hold of a distribution box too so i can have all the wires neatly out the way rather than on that horrible metal bracket on the battery!! the feeds on 250A for the main live, then 2 40A and 2 60A feeds, im assuming the feeds runnning off the battery will be fine with them?!

Battery size/capacity doesn't matter, just means if flattened ever wil take that bit longer to bring up to fully charged, you still only draw the same current from it, just have much more reserve, need to know more whether the alt is upt ot the power being drawn ie if silly heavy amps etc etc can be a problem.
AGM are ace, and as you've found hold the charge a lot better than the std lead acid, also don't get damaged if flattened unlike lead acid, and can be mounted anyway you want if wanting to relocate even upside down, as no liquid inside just gel.
