It depends a lot on how you drive, the cvh engine having a alloy head will have steel inserts in it anyway, often these are adequate if using normally, but if ragging it I would get the head off and make sure/get coneverted to decent lead free seats, not expensive.
As yours is a carb model, it will have the 32DFT carb, good little carb it is.
What running probs are you having, they did have a bit of an appetite for the accelerator pump diaphragms, but that apart very good units.
Nearly forgot PICCIES please!!

Running on unleaded won't cause running problems, although a slight retard on the ignition timing may be needed, but can damage engine (Burn valve seats out as there not hardened) but as said depends on how cars driven and conditions, I.E towing, lots of motorway driving or just hard driving if just normal driving should be fine.

Hi tabetha the car runs rough on idle seams to use a lot of fuel i only get 140 miles on a full tank (£30) which isnt much before i had it the carb was reconditioned . Looking back at the last 20 mot's the car has only done 20k so stood a lot . What pics did you want regards matt .
