Default Fiesta rst help

Hi as yous can see im a newbie to this site and ford turbos for that matter,i've recently took a frst as a trade in and after much thought i would like to keep it and return it to its former glory.

This is where the problems start When the car is started from cold and left to idle it smokes really bad,and i mean really bad,i've had a look through the site and found info on faulty oil return lines from the turbo,i've had a look at the car and im guesing its the pipe from the bottom of the turb to the block??

My next question is on the performance side of it,i've had a quick look around the engine bay and i have came up with the folowing upgrades

.piper vernier cam pully
.poss cam?
.large fmic
.beige 701 injectors

There is a blue chip on the underside of the ecu,im not sure if this is standerd as it has no markings also there is some sort of fuel regulator on the end of the injector rail,im guesing this is not standerd, what im wanting to know is if anyone knows what kinda chip this is and what sort of power i should be looking at.

I must appoligise for the lengh of my first post and i appreciate any kind of info

thanks again guys Graeme

Unless the cam is much modified keep the std pulley, a vernier pulley will do nothing apart from empty your bank balance.
It sounds like a adjustable pressure reg on the rail has been fitted, first thing I'd do is get a fuelling check, check state or health of engine.

If it plugs into ECU more than likely superchips, depending on what you want a "195 chip" will give the power in the name needing only the beige injectors you mention none of the rest. Think a fuel pump upgrade may be needed.

If it only smokes on cold start and is fine when up to temp, I would think it's something wrong with the cold start, I.E overfuelling.

Turbo has two pipes one flow and one return, one you mention is the return.

As said ideally you need to take for a setup as well as getting the car running right and safe it can also reveal any bodge work which has been done previously.

Need more information on smoke, if blue in colour and clears probably valve stem seals, if black/grey then overfuelling.

Right after a trip to the rolling road for a fuel check and power run i returned with some bad news,i managed to get a max of 33 bhp at 1500 revs before a fuel shortage, the guy recons its down to a fuel pump he also sugested to replace some sort of valve to help the breather system,he seems to think thats whats causing the smoke, think its a lack of vacume in the engine.

Any sugestions as to what kind of pump to replace the fooked one with?? Also can anyone recomend a place to get a 195 chip??

Thanks again Graeme
