Hi guys,

Is the fiesta 1.6 zetec and the escort 1.6 zetec the same gearbox or are they diff ratios? Ive been trying to find a 1.8 zetec box with starter at front but it near impossible (considerin a year ago I was looking for one at rear and couldnt find one! now im strugglin to find the one I coulve had a year ago ) i have looked and most have escort 1.6/1.8 so dunno if the escorts use the same gearbox for both engines? and if there is any difference between the fiesta and escort 1.6 boxes. I dont want to put a 1.6 box bk in as its munching them but if escort gearbox are diff and longer ratio/ stronger then it should be ok. Thanks for any help guys cheers
