I have a 2wd saff with a 200 block and want to put a oil pressure and oil temp gauge on it
what is the best way to do this in regaurds to sender location?
if i put an adaptor plate between the oil filter and oil modine will the oil filter hit the engine mount???
is a sump plug adaptor for the temp sender and then a t piece off the oil light switch for the oil pressur gauge a better route???
thanks,
Phil

You can fit the temp fitting in the sump, with a 1/8 tapped sump plug, so easy diy, drill out the sump plug to 11/32 size then tap to sender size, normally 1/8NPT-27, then as you say a T piece for pressure switch and pressure sender location, the sender hole in the block is a 1/4NPT-18.
The sump doesn't give a true reading of the oil temp, due to the cooling effects of the passing air on the sump, and it is pre pump, ie after it has been squashed by the pump which will raise it's temperature, it will also absorb heat along the way, mine is going in a triple fitting I've made to go in place of the normal one on the block, but wherever it is it can only tell you the temp at one point in the engine anyway!!
