Erst heat sheild do they work?

Hi folks I have got a turbo heat sheild lying around and was
going to fit it to my van rs turbo as i have no vented bonnet.

Do they work/is it worth fitting?

In my opinion they are a pain in the arse even tho they do keep the leads cooler. the one i had was bolted, then unbolted and riveted to the landing panel but it creaked all the time and was annoying !
