Hey,ive fit a zetec to a capri and removed all egr componants.I know this will set off the engine check light.Will this revert the ecu to a second stage with reduced performance or will it run fine as is?

On some but by no means all ecu's this can cause it to go into LOS, safe mode, limited operation strategy, I found this on a mondy I did, found also that keeping the exhaust gas differential pressure sensor plugged in it still worked ok, I had removed that as well initially, was dead as a dead thing performace wise, but egdps plugged back in back to normal.
