Default Rough Boosting Saph...

I've recently fitted a T34 and -31 Collins actuator to my Saph.

When it comes on boost, it pulls as it should to begin with, then starts to cough and splutter.
Does it just need set up, or is there something else i should be looking at??
It ran spot on before!!
Been told d/v needs uprated to run stage3, is this true??

Engine bay spec prior to fitting T34:
4" Mongoose, Greens, 3 Bar Map Sensor, Stage 2/3 Chip, Group 'A' Fuel Pump, RS500 Cooler, K&N, NGK's, Bailey Dump Valve, Motorsport Leads. Running 22psi.

Any info greatly appreciated Guys.

Firstly it has NOTHING at all to do with a D/V! You say you have "Grp A" fuel pump but have you rewired this? When was the fuel filter last changed? Also what are plug gaps?

Good point, missed that you fitted T34 but was working beforehand, you need chip to suit not only turbo but exhaust housing as well.

As mentioned you need all the correct parts to work together.

My guess is you've not changed the chip, and its not got enough fuel at higher boost now

Cheers for the replies.

Plug gap not been changed since fitting the turbo. What should gap be for this spec??
Be due new plugs anyway before it sees the road next month.

Chip should be capable of stage 3.... Well, so i was told when the car was uprated to stage 2, which was carried out by AVA. I will double check with them tomorrow.
Problem does seem to be pointing at this, by the replies.

Martin; Fuel pump has been fitted for a while, but car has not done a lot of miles since. Will check filter tho.

Stu.

Try 0.6mm gap, even though I am on coilpack(accel) it prefers 0.6 to wider gaps, runs better.

Yes but as you have a different turbo you need a chip calibrated for this spec the exhaust housing is critical as well.

If fuel pump is on original wiring I would check power under load for safety sake!

Update:

Problem solved, poor quality plug leads.
Was on rolling road today, looked like lightening under the bonnet lol.
Leads arking off the inlet and plenum. Temp fix so it could get a proper run and everything is bang on.

Thanks for your input anyway folks.

PS- did reduce the plug gaps to 0.6 as advised......... Cheers.
