Is my boost gauge broken

I recently bought a TIM superdash 127 boost gauge but the needle while disconected in its box reads +0.3 bar. Is this normal does it return to dead center 0.0 when connected up. sorry big noob when it comes to turbo power

I would take it back, it is purely a mechanical gauge, so unconnected should just read zero.

As said it must be calibrated wrong.
