Unhappy what the blinking flip is a tps?

i'm building a gartrac g6. i'd like more b.h.p. but need info on how to get it. have been reading posts here but still none the wiser. using a 1988 2wd saph as the donor car, apparnetly it has a L6 board but an L8 is better. how do i convert? where do i get one and what chip do i use? help please.

TPS is throttle position sensor, tells the ecu how open the throttle is, if going to a L8, which is better than a L6, you ideally need to change the tps for the L8 one, the L6 one will work but won't get the best out of it, also if the loom is a L6 loom you need to reverse the other two wires on the tps to suit the L8.
