Default what brakes can i put on my fiesta?

I've got a little fiesta encore as a run about but have started to fiddle with it
the brakes are shocking and when i had a look I found out why,
there are about the size of a 2p and don't even have vented discs.
So i have decided to up rate them abit.
So would a pair of mondeo v6 items fit? probley a bit over kill.

Any ideas would be great

What size wheels do you have first ?, see what ford use on the most sporty model of these festas for an idea of what fits easy, but sure many other ford ones will as well.

what model is it?
and size wheels?
if 15's or bigger ideally id go for the st170 discs and mk3 mondeo calipers (the calipers need a bit shaving off to fit with 15's though.

mondeo mk2 v6 brakes will fit with 15"+ rims
or cossie brakes which is the common route for older fiestas, again 15" wheels are needed.

Might be worth pulling the rear drums off and making sure the wheel cylinders haven't splurged over the shoes, doesn't help brake efficiency.

Would cosworth brakes fit under standard mk5 zetec s wheels?

Also, to the OP, go on www.pumaspeed.co.uk for fiesta options, they have loads of things to buy/give you ideas.

thanks for the replys.
The car is on 13" wheels but I will be puting 14 or 15" on soon.
Itt is a encore so the most basic model ford made, it has carpet and windscreen wipers and thats about it!
I will be putting in a bigger engine soon but I'll only be looking for about 100bhp (still doubles what it is now!)
As such st170/ cossie brakes would be a bit over kill.
I have see myself a budget of Ł350 for brakes, engine, wheel and coilovers.
I know this sounds imposible but i've just made some coilovers for Ł40 and got some rs turbo wheels for Ł44.
