Default FRST Management help please

Im looking at getting management for my fiesta rs turbo, but not sure what to go for.

Iv been looking at:
Dta S40
Omex
M-tech V4
Cossie L8

Is anyone running M-Tech's V4? Seams a good deal at mo, but heard mixed reports.

Was looking in to cossie, but got stuck on parts needed and getting trigger wheel set up.

Any help would be greatful

thanks

Matt

I'm impressed with my V4 and Matt at M-Tech, if i wanted any more than it does i would have gone Vipec but there ŁŁŁ compared (Mark Shead is the man for them) its all down to who is setting it up and customer service really all those ecu's listed are perfectly adequate i chose mine based on the price and service and Matt Mapping it

You'll have to deal with the trigger wheel issue anyway, it's not a problem that you need to worry about.
The V4 is a very good deal/ecu, I went Emerald as I live 1/4 mile away, and known dave for years, plus I like the designed in house, made/built in house, mapped in house, dave is the most honest helpful guy you could meet, but some others are as well, just weed out the bad ones first!
The K3 has also been modified to run 5 cyl engines and twins, as well as Charlies 27,000cc rolls royce merline engined 24 injector 2 distributor set up, but this ecu was STANDARD, not modified in anyway.
I think location would be something to look at, there are many good mappers, as well as many crap ones, but don't go trawling the whole uk if you don't need to.

Your engine will have the 36-1 trigger cast into the flywheel so you wont need to worry about a trigger wheel.

The V4 does have launch control and NLS but I would advise against it unless you have a serious box and clutch as it can kill a standard box VERY quickly as we found out!

yes i am running a CVH, a new gearbox is on my long list of things to do, but it would be more of a play thing never really used. and looking in to clutchs at mo, as can slip under very boost, but like 1/34 times.

Went to look at the DTA loom being built for one of your demo cars today, and dam it looks easy! famous last words!!!

lol, theres def ways of making things loom easy! The V4 is pretty straight forward though, and we are always on the phone if you get stuck.

If you are using the factory loom then we have a pin-to-pin connection diagram for the RST under guides on our website

Which car was it you saw, nothing DTA being done for us at the mo?

I dont have a problem with building a loom, as long as i have wire diagrams, im ok. i will need to build my own loom as running diffrent TB and all the wires are being hidden.

I have been looking at your site loads at the mo Matt, I know its hard for you to say as you will wanna sell your V4 over V3 but...... why souldnt i just go for V3?

its for a 106 ralley that we have build, running a 16v supercharged engine we have built for him. he said he wanted to run DTA.

Matt,

We are about to remove the V3 from the site tbh, the V4 is just a much better package. It has all the boost control etc already built in which with the V3 its all optional extras. The loom is also better quality, and in general its just a better ECU thats designed to rival the likes of Omex etc in terms of features, reliability and ease of use.

Thats the main reasoning

Matt
