frst alternator

Default frst alternator

hello everyone my alternator keep seizing and burning the belt if its stud for a week. so need a new one ive noticed that the escort 1.8d one is the same fit and it is 70amp to the frst one been 55amp can i use the diesel one or frst best.
any help would be great cheers andy

First try and lube the bearings but it does sound that to sieze there shot may be able to get replacements, Escort one would be good upgrade may have a surplus terminal as diesels use this for rev counter so don't worry about that it has a higher output that is useful if you have some hefty equipment, IE subs etc.

Don't even bother trying to lube, just ditch it, get a recon or whatever.
