Apologies first of all if this is in the wrong section, it has come to my attention after checking that i need some more oil, bought some 5/30 weight but drove to get the oil, how long do i need to wait for engine to be cold, only a 5 min drive, help is appreciated.

 

Overnight ideally, but don't sweat, so long as it is above minimum leave like that till next morning, then check, all the oil around the top of the engine will have drained back anyway, so just check and away you go.
