my xr3i hiccuped & stopped recently, would turn over but not run... not enough fuel.

replaced pump & tank (it had a small crack) with new parts.

it still won't run

gonna check for blockages & blow out the pipes.

Any other cause for this ? ECU , relay etc.

HI,

Why did u change the pump was it a guess,Can u hear the pump run, or running,
if not check at the pump power connection, there is power 12volts approx,
if not check fuse's, and relays, and for a break in the wiring, if pump is running
check fuel is getting past fuel filter,

turned out the non o/e pump wiring was reverse to the original ford pump 'tho the connexion was the same , so the pump was operating in reverse....ouch! should have it back soon
