right guys any information would be much appreciiated..
here goes:

i have a 3door 2000reg 1.8 ford focus zetec and i have the one touch down window switches.
can i fit the ghia switches and program them to the system or is the cars module not capable of doing so?
any ideas of how to do it let me know

The switch is not normally any different the one touch function is from a small timer normally positioned in the door.
I have converted my sapphy to one touch on all windows, as well as me mondeo to one touch all doors.
I use the timer modules found in the top corner of the drivers door, held by two screws.
See if you have this system, as I am not aware of any other, if you have this system, I'll post up the simple wiring needed to each door, you can also add one touch up(sounds nice!!) to the doors if wished, I haven't bothered myself.

Aren't the one touch windows in the focus operated by the GEM? Pretty sure they are in the mk3 mondeos. Have a look on the mondeo enthusiasts group forum. There's bound to be something on there and if they're the same it might be easier then you thought

 

cheers guys.. i will have a look at that mondeo forum first as it sounds a bit easier because in the ghia model on my drive it forgot how to do the one touch operation because the batteriy died i think and to reprogram it, it was a matter of holding down some window buttons in a learning mode

 

this is what i got:

when sat in car,all windows up,press and hold one of the window buttons to open window,when the window is fully down release your finger and then press down twice on the same button.put the window up and then same again,when the window gets to the top press up twice and that window should be programmed,repeat on all four windows.

gonna accidentally on purpose forget to pay for a set of ghia switches at my local scrappy which is just full of ford foci any ideas on gettin them out.. pop em' ? or unscrewing the door panel?
