im about to rewire my engine over the next fortnight ive got a new engine loom but i need to replace a few other tings too.

what type of cable would you recommend for use from my battery terminal to the starter motor and alternator? as i want to replace these. and put new terminals on the battery.



the engine is a 1.8 xr2i if it makes any difference

i was after a rating or a place to contact for them.

what is the best diameters?

 

I'd use 25mm^2 (rated at 170amps) for the starter.

Depending at what your alternator is rated at, I'd probably use 16mm^2 (rated at 110 amps).
