please bear with me this my first thread


hi all ive 6 month ago i stipped a saff that had been converted to 4x4 but still running 2wd management.
since them ive built the running gear in to a very good trimmed 2wd shell the problem i have that i have no power to the coil wires verything is plugged in and everything i have fitted to the car was running when stripped i got a new engine loom from paul at north yorkshire cosworth breakers .does anyone know which wires on the ignition module should be live as none of mine are and where does the power come from .cheers carl :w all:

hi mate have you put the ignition amp on and when you turn the key dose the fuel pump prime up

hi mate yes the ignition amp is plugged in a fixed on the inner wing but the fuel pump doesnt prime (only does when i bridge the relay) but i have no power to the ignition amp .
this bit is hard to desribe but
the old engine loom and car had a 2 wire plug that split near the ecu plug and crossed over to the drivers side and plugged in the car loom behind the clocks area .
but this car doesnt have the 2 wire plug behind behind the clocks .
thats why i got another engine loom.
hope this helps if i cant get it started by the weakend its going on the bay

all so i think im right but on the saf dont they have a crash sencer in the boot . plus is the gap right on the crank sencer and phaze sencer set right in the dizzy

have you checked to see if you have power going to the ECU

ive checked the sensor in the boot all fine ..
as for the crank sensor all is fine there but i have no ignition lives to the coil

Main power check: check for DC Voltage of at least 11.5 Volts between ECU pins 19. and 20.

does anyone know what the 9 pin oval plug behind the glovebox is for or where it goes to

checked for power supply at ecu and nothing at all .where does the power supply come from and where abouts is the relay for the ecu
