Default new engine cuts out when it gets hot

hi ther this is my first post. me and my dad have just put in a brand new cosworth engine into a sapphire and i was running it in on a trip away and when i stopped for lunch it cut out on me and it would not start for a while then i had lunch then whent to start it and it went second go. then it went for 7 or so minutes then it cut out. it seems to be when it is hot it cuts out. my dad thinks that it may be a sensor ( crank mabey) and i was wondering if any of you guys know what the problem could be. we are away atm so we havent had the chance to have a good look at it.

As above the phase sensor, or more specifically it's wiring, look to see if the wiring is all cracked and broken off, the earlier sensors had shit wire insultion, later ones with red/blue wires were/are ok.
Also have a wiggle of the crank position connector, the connector loses it's grip, and this can cause all amnner of odd problems like this, almost defo lecky in nature.
How old is the fuel pump ?, have you rewired it, needs the fuel pump and fan rewire if you want to keep the engine healthy, as a minimum.

As above really, check phase sensor and crank sensor. is the wiring to both ok and are they both new sensors and gapped correctly?
