need a wire that is switchable and live during cranking
as in the title, i need a wire that is swichable live but stays live during cranking.
ive ruled out:
radio, not live during cranking
fag lighter, perm. live
ignition acc, not live during cranking
anyone offer anything else?

Mind you, you can't just take the first wire that has 12V on it and plug a coil to it if things are done properly.
If you have the Zetec loom, then you will have the coil pack connector? Other things also need similarly 12V like injectors and idle valve. Are these also a problem similarly?

im sure thats permanant?
got both a meter and light, will test next time i work on it
alright, well the original loom should have one or just go through the fuse box and some of the relays will stay live when cranking, coils don't draw much and you would ideally feed off the fuse box to a relay anyhow to run the lot anyways.
so multimeter to the ready or testing light.

pin 1 on the ecu?
my pins outs has that as POWER +12V fused, does that not mean its permant? that way when u start the engine the ecu doesnt have to re-learn?
