Doing this on behalf of my brother in law.
He has a problem with his 2000 plate cougar.
The ABS warning light comes on his dash all the time. He has been told its a problem is the abs modulator and needs to be fixed in order for it to pass its next MOT.
Does anyone know where they can be bought cheaply and where is the ABS modulator located in the car. Is it under the dash somewhere near the bulkhead or somwwhere in the engine compartment? Is it a diy job for an average guy to change the old with the new modulator or is it a garage job?

If its the same as the mondeo its behind the brake servo in the engine bay. Had the same problem with my ST24 & it was down to a knackerd connector on the TC/ABS module. Mine needed a new module & wiring loom

Never got it fixed as I traded the car in but it wasn't a cheap fix from memory.
