thanks

i couldnt find any obvious plug. or to be honest any plug that wasnt already plugged in. i also found a severed wire. which im guessing is what is meant to have a plug on it. so if its fucked the cowboys can get it replaced

2001 escort van 1.9 diesel? never heard of ford's 1.9 diesel except of galaxy with VW engine, lol..
anyway, there are only few wires connected to gearbox - for vehicle speed sensor (it's what you're looking for, and could be broken), transmission range switch, and that would be probably all..
