Default Fiesta 1.4 tdci strange electrics "help......"

My wife has a 1.4 tdci which in the last few days has some strange habits can anyone shed some light on this or had a similar problem ;

1. turned key to start , nothing , then repeated car started .

2. dash board lights all go out when driving then come back to life

3. last night the side lights front only came on their own (car locked all light switches were off will we were watching telly) and would not go off, car would not start and a soloinod was chatting away by the battery. disconected the battery and charged . car started in the morning no problem .

4. tonight the head lights came on on there own car locked while in a school meeting.
Any one have any answer to this mystery .

I did drive through some water on the road nothing deep just normal water on the road and the dash went off which makes me think this may be water related , a muti plug wet or similar.
if any one can shed some light on this that would be great

This gets better, are you ready for this? Car is parked on the the drive for five days due to snow and bad weather. My neighbour rings me to tell me the front lights are on. On investigation the car wont start,flat battery but i can turn the lights off by switching them on then off agian . I charged the battery but did not disconnect ( which i should have ) as the lights came back on and undid what i started. After a day at work and the battery on charge (disconnected this time) i tried again.
car started , Hazard lights/ indicators came on and would not go off. I pulled every relay under the dash to get them to go off. it was only by chance i pulled a fuse for the right side indicators and they seem to stop. More by luck i feel . since this all is well so far until "CHRISTINE" starts again.
Ideas any one

NO athough to look at there seems to be condesation on them but only slight, the relays are dry, i will be using the car tommorow , perhaps its just damp, the car only travels 2 miles a day so it does not get the chance to get nice and warm
