Default Escort Mk4 Heater Matrix Change

Hi all, Have an Escort Mk4 XR3i with a knackered matrix, comes out about as fast as it goes in.
How do I go about changing it?

Is there any easy or special ways TO deal with it??

Regards Andy

No short cut way on the mk4, I'm sure they are all 1 piece dash ?
Just basic dismantling, just make sure you put a new not s/h one in, might as well do a/freeze/stat at same time too.

Ok thanks, Sounds like fun.
think the lack of antifreeze was the problem in the first place.

dont have to take the dash out remove the lower screws up to and including the ones by the courtesy light switches undo the entire heater box [2 13mm nuts upwards dont remove them tho they a bastard to put back] remove hoses under the bpnnet pull heater box and dash backwards this just gives u enough room to slide it out awkward but do able
