i noticed the power steering on the cossy felt abit strange like almost lumpy. so i opend the bonnet and after only 15 mins driving the powersteering fluid was red hot, like boiling hot.

the car recently had a recon powersteering pump. and the front end has been restored, but the rack was only painted and cleaned.
whats this likly to be caused by???

duff pump. blockage. rack.

How hot is the problem, I've never measure or anything, but the way the pump works is going to produce lots of heat, but the lumpy feeling is a bit odd, did you use all new fluid ?, is the fluid frothy ?

no its not frothy. my rack got noise'y aswel. started to whyne. think the old rack's had it
