Default Fiesta 1.8TD - OBD software

Hi guys, I've got here my aunties 'x' reg fiesta 1.8td that broke down on her this morning.

She was driving along fine when the 'orange squiggly' light came on (inj heater light....lol) so she pulled over, the car was still running ok but wouldn't rev????

it seems ok again now.

I have a tactrix 1.3u obd2 cable (which I use for logging/tuning evos)

But cannot get it to work on this car to try and get a fault code.

I've tried with evoscan, which seemed to connect but then 'no response from ecu'

and also just downloaded and tried scantool - which had some problem with interface.

anyone got any ideas?

Cheers guys

EOBD/OBD2 cable and software will not work. Diesels do not have to comply with EOBD until 2004 and this car does not comply.
Have the codes read by the dealer.
