Evening all , hope you are all well.

I havent posted much on here but it has become more and more apparent that im running cossie management. Its a zetec turbo with cossie temp sensor, boost sensor & map sensor. Now my concern is that after diagnosing my map sensor has gone, i cant sem to find the right part.

What i mean is , when doing a search for the part number on the map sensor it shows a completely different style. Now my one is APS02/03 0229 listed as a escort cosworth 2.5 bar map sensor ( is this correct) which looks different from the 3 bar map sensor APS0501. BUT HERES THE PROBLEM...MINE IS THE SAM E shape as as the 3 bar map sensor.

3 bar is shown as more square shaped part where as the 2.5 bar is shown as the more rectangular shape same as the fiesta rs turbo...where as mine is 2.5 bar but with 3 bar casing...am i tripping? Have they stoppped making these?

BUT if anyone has this listed new it comes as a diff shape..i can only find used ones in my shape...

For example if you look here http://forzavx.com/gecu/hw/APS02-03_APS05-01.pdf you will see mine listed as part number 215810000900 but everywhere i look i get this shape: http://www.ignitionmodule.info/searc...e=215810000900. Am i going to find this new anywhere?

 

It may be that a "sample" picture is being used in the adverts. Alternatively, the "third party manufacturer" type ones (ie not genuine Marelli ones) perhaps come in the housing that cossie owners would normally associate with the 2.5 bar escort sensors.

I think you'll struggle to find a brand new genuine Marelli sensor - I don't think these have been available for some time.

OK , update time

Got the map sensor today. It seems everywhere i tried they all supply the new revised shape and for some reason doesent have a metal earthing trip which goes from the bolt hole to inside the sensor..well some sort of earthing function BUT the new on e doesent ha ve this W TF? LOL now im lost...
