Right, Im booking my cossie in at pj motorsports to try and find out why im blowing out so much blue smoke and i dont want to go in sounding like a compleat amature SO.....
Symptoms, Blowing out blue smoke under load and then again if i let off and then on again. Using lots of oil. Also my tick over goes up to 1200 now and then even when warm. Other than that she goes quite well.
What tests should i ask to be done and whats the cost likely to be.

compression test, as your a amature i'll leave it at that but comp test if smoking
that bad will show something, pj is pretty fair and wont rip u off, tick over sounds
like idle speed control valve, or bad connection to it,
