Default XMAS pressie - cone filter - now what ? 4x4 cossie...

Mrs frog got me a cone filter for christmas, now that I have to fit it on a 4x4 cossie, I have a few questions:

-There is a pipe to the air box from the Amal valve, what do I do with it ?
-If I want to take the standard d/v off while I am there, do I just take it off, bung the hose that goes into the intercooler and the hole in hose that feeds the turbo ?
-Also, what do I do with the pipe that comes off the inlet manifold and terminates on the d/v ?

Many thanks
Greg

the pipe from the airbox to the amalvalve can go in the bin

as for the holes on the inlet hose from airbox to turbo you need a blank thing to close it. for the connection on the IC the same....

the vacuum pipe from the inlet to the dv you can put a screw in or remove it or something...but you have to close it..

good luck

make sure you have plenty cold air ducting or you could lose power from drawing in hot air from the engine bay...

MrsFrog I don't mind ... but I don't know what I could help you with.... it's not like there is a lot of space to work around...
Frog You could always screw some things while I watch....

I am still shocked....

wimwerf, it's a T3 with 15 psi (only stage 1), and still chatters like fook as you say, even driving around town when not driving hard, but it's quite a deep chatter, not like MrsFrog's T34 which is high pitch

Car seems so much more responsive, not sure if that's the cone or the fact there's no dv, but it flies.

And I found the cause of my misfire - dodgy spark plug in no 1. All sorted with a spare, just need to get me a new set of NGK's.

Thanks again for the help.
