I've just had a FRST crank recon'd for a rebuild and needed .25mm o/s regrind and bearings. After getting it back i notice what looked like a crack in one of the bores of the block, so managed to get hold of another block from a Mk3 Fiesta 1600sport, Now i've striped the block drilled the oil return etc, after fitting the new mains into the block i noticed some thing wrong with the way they sat. After looking at the original mains that came out of the 1.6s block they where stamped STD (standard), but also has 0.4mm O/S. Ford used to list oversize and undersize bearing, I now need different mains, 0.25mm O/S but with a 0.4mm undersize fitment, this is the 1st 1600 CVH block i've ever seen like this, does anyone know if these are avalible???

they must be availible, but i'd measure the thickness of the crank on the mains and measure the inner diameter of the bearing when bolted together, then you can find out the thickness of the shell that you need.
