Default set up TPS

Hi ppl ive got a escort s2 with cosworth management. when i got it set up the only fault was the TPS and when it was set up the car ran great but then took the car for a test drive and on the way back the car started to run bad again, it was the TPS again am going to put a new one on now,
so how do you set it up without a pectel monitor as thats what we set it with before and i havnt got 1 now,
also where do you get the pectel monitors from and how much are they
thank if you can help me ppl

Without knowing what reading it was set to by whoever did it, it's impossible to tell you.
The normal way is to put the tps on then rotate it and let it spring back under it's own pressure/steam from spring, then screw down in that position.
No idea about the pectel stuff, why do you think the tps has "gone" they usually last years and years ?

went to jano's oddkidd and when he put the computer on the only fault was the tps and co's abit high. we checked the car over and set the tps then took it for a road test, ran realy good but on the way back the fault came on again and the car started to backfire and make some big bangs, when we looked the tps had droped to 0% again and its ment to drop to 1% when you let off the throttle.so we set it again and it ran well untill i got home but its started again. am thinking where the throttle body shaft goes into the tps, the the tps will have worn away cos it a metal shaft into a plastic sensor. thanks for the help
