Default escort rs turbo

hi im in process of swapping my focus for a escort rs turbo running 180 bhp with fast road cams t3 tubro with 31 actuator but the rs is smoking through gear changes in lower gears, but is ok on high boost. i imagine this is likely to be down to valve stem oil seals as the current owner thought it was the t3 turbo so had it reconditioned but says the same fault is still occuring. just wondered if anyone knew of any other things that may cause this? cheers tim. hope this is all it is!

ah right so you reckon if i do get it and replace the oil seals it will still smoke? haha ive been waiting a long time to get my hands on one of these! :P finally afford to insure one want it to be a minter haha only really the rust and smoke im bothered about. oil seals shouldnt be too bad as im a mechanic by trade and have fitted them before to audis n vws but never fords but by the sounds of it there a piece of piss. fingers crossed

Sounds a bit ropey to me matey. Do you have any pics of the car??

Rust bubbles on the roof can turn out to be a new roof skin job if its really bad.

Unless its dirt cheap then i would walk away mate

cheeRS
