Default Driveshaft leak ?

Gearbox started whining so though it might be low on oil. Just started to top up the oil in the gearbox and noticed it was pissing straight out the passenger driveshaft as quick as i was pouring it in. Looks like the driveshaft has come away from the gearbox or should it look like that with the gap ? Can anyone explain the pics ? am i looking at getting a new driveshaft or just the seal or something ?

are any of the bottom arm bushes excessively worn on that side or have you been wheelspinning etc... round a corner? The drivershaft should just push back in, if not there could be stripped splines etc...

Havent been wheel spinning or taking corners quick. The wishbone bushes are worn on the other side. I've got new wishbones just waiting to get some polybushes before i put them in. So you reckon i can just pop it back in.......take the wheel off and push it into the gearbox ? stripped splines......would that be from the gearbox or the drivesahft ?

managed to push it back in but still has a small amount of play in it. It pushed back in fairly easy so wont it just as easy pop back out again when driving ?

sounds like the circlip has been destroyed which holds the shaft in.
you need to pull shaft out and replace it, then the shaft will stay fully in and seal properly.
