Default mk 6 van exhaust problem

i own a 1.8 d non turbo escort van mk6 2000 and was wondering if i could put a sports exhuast on it or not but if i could what would be the best one to get and the cheapest

Just get a universal SS back box and fit that, though they are silly money imo.

got a peco powermaster on mine, just a back box. paid £9 of ebay for it. was originally off a mk4 fiesta i cut the pipe down and used a short length of flexi to fit it. sounds quite good but is drowned out at tick over by the engine noise.
