Default wiring ppl good with relays - please advise.

right, i'm hoping this makes sense so here goes.

i need to wire 2 relays in, 1 is going to my omex ecu and the other to my fuel pump with a direct 12v feed from the battery. i've got all the wires there now but no idea what pin on the relay i need to put the wires to so can anyone give me any pointers?

i'm using standard ford 4 pin 40 amp relays with the metal clips on, looking at the relay with the metal clip at the top i have numbers going clockwise 30, 87, 85 and 86.

i've "borrowed" a bit of omex wiring diagram and added a bit in myself so you can see what i'm trying to do.

be very gratefull if anyone could help?

30 - battery (fused)
85 - -ve (ground)
86 - relay input i.e ecu
87 - relay output, i.e fuel pump

so am i missing something here then as the omex diagram does show a ground on the relay or is that what the blue/white wire is doing?

it would appear the blue/white is the earth, which is switched from the ecu too.

if you power the ecu, test with multimeter to see what the blue/white does
