If you want to put the engine in a mk6 van i would just buy a cheap mot faliure car fitted with the engine you want then just swop everything over from car to van

I've got whole mk6, with 1.8...
just wondered if I have to swap whole loom (inc. interior)?
or just wire up zetec loom to diesel??

I can't find details (ecu pin outs etc.) on zetec or diesel wiring..

i've been searching for a while for the pinouts on a 1.8gti zetec ecu(slug) and no joy, all i have found is the 2.0 pinouts which dont match, as its say 22 should be fuel pump relay but there is no pinout wire loom side.

This helped as it kinda the reverse and indicated that fuel pump relay on a 1.8 ecu is pin 53 to me....

http://www.ford-force.com/forums/ind...showtopic=7589.....

the closest i could find is this

https://passionford.com/forum/ford-f...rge-valve.html

buts its for a focus i think

It got me running today with my conversion on a mk4 escort estate with a 1.8 zetec lump, crazy thing was engine would not shut off on key. Tried pull of positive terminal.... still running, negative terminal..... still running, finally pull plug on the coil pack!! WTF

Id just swop the whole loom it saves having to splice in if your not sure of the pin outs on the ecu
