xr3i mfi fuel pump!!

Hi all,

I need a fuel pump for my 87 xr3i cabby!
will a <89 pump work! (because its a lot cheaper and I have not got the highest budget)
or any other alternative!

If it's an MFI one it will it's only the EFI ones that are different
