Default cossie piston advice

are 4x4 pistons the same as 2wd pistons
reason asking i have damaged the crown of number 4 piston with a snapped valve and i have some standard 2wd pistons in my shed

NO their not the same(although they can be used) BUT the gudgeon (spl) pin position is different on the 4x4 piston as it stopped or reduced the amount of piston slap which was an improvement design to rectify the fault in the 205's when using 2w/d pistons. if you get what I mean
