HEY I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ASK IF YOU NO WHAT IT COULD BE UP WITH MY CAR.

ITS A 1985 FORD ESCORT 1.6i (MFI)

I DON'T NO WHAT UP WITH IT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ON THE INTERNET ABOUT IT SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROB

ITS A MINTER WHEN ITS COLD BUT WHEN IT GET UP TO TEMP ITS START IT MISFIRE BUT I HAVE BE LISTENING TO THE FUEL PUMP AND ITS MAKING A DIFF NOISE TO WHAT IT START LIKE.

BUT ALL I HAVE TO DO IS TURN KEY OFF AND WAIT FOR ABOUT A MIN THEN START IT BACK UP AGAIN AND SHE WORKS FINE THEN I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN IF IT STARTS MISSING THAT WHY I'M THINKING IF ITS THE FUEL PUMP RELAY

COULD YOU HELP

It's more likely to be the pump, the relay either supplies or doesn't supply current, I would rig the pump up with a seperate permanent 12v supply that way you can rule out a relay, and confirm the pump is at fault.

is it possible that the relay could be sticking,open up the relay and have a look inside mate[depends on the relay type]

People are telling me its the fuel pump relay, because the relay is getting hot which it du it strips the fuel pump i going to buy a new relay today from ford a today and see if that works.

i have opened the relay which it looks like someone has open befor its the pink one drives side near your knee

Check warm up regulator also, could be control pressure to low. No room to explain here but look up "WUR" or "warm up regulator" on google for more info.
