Default YB - Special Tool to remove front crank cambelt pulley???

Done a search & can't find the answer

pulley for the 3 "V" belts comes off OK (been of recently)..... the pulley behind it is the one below

needs to come off so I can do the front crank oil seal

Is there a special Ford tool to remove it or would something like the tool in the link below do???

You'll never get a std puller like the one shown in there, as the legs are too thick to go behind the wheel.
If you have a pair of old screwdrivers bend the ends to try to get behind opposite each other and pull, but I have levered these out with 2 screwdrivers on the edge of the castings levering against the wheel.
I have a too I made years ago to do things like this, as couldn't buy one, but basically you could replicate similar by putting on a jubilee clip and tightening as this would give you extra to lever against(the adjuster part).

Hmm, always just slid straight off whenever I've had to remove them. Maybe it's just stuck rather than pressed on. Try some penetrating oil and a couple of light taps with a hammer then try levering it of as suggested above.

That pullers no good either, not for this, just too big to get legs in and feet under the wheel.

everyone I have done in the past has came of relatively easily, has it spun on the crank and mashed the woodruff key or something, and bits are between the crank and pulley making it tighter than usual? I have seen it happen on a YB bottom (aux belt) pulley before. That was a proper sod to get off.

Just checked , the ford no is 303-068 or 21-028 A it is 2 semi circular cups that slot over a central puller with a bolt through the centre with a ting to prevent the cups separating , you might be lucky and get a dealer to lend you one as it is such and old tool .
