Focus TDDI Problem
Smokes very badly (white diesel smoke), seems to strugle then suddenly come on boost and shoot off (not the normal turbo lag).
When cold runs on three and needs to be cleared out, when warm drives a lot lot better almost hard to notice a problem and only smokes a tiny bit.
Has had previously by others
Cylinder head,
Injectors, and ive tried others
EGR
Fuel filter.
Need to diagnose this, dont want to take it to Ford becuause thuey are the ones who incorrectly fitted the head, spoke to an injection specialist who basically scratched his head!
Only thing left really is a fuel pump but ive onluy ever heard of these causing fuel starvation (stalling) and not what im guessing is the problem of over fuelling.
Any help greatfully appreciated

I doubt anyone is interested, but after replacing an injector, inspecting the cam belt, having the head off, replacing a valve and the head gasket (to the tune of £600), the problem was diagnosed as the fuel pump. cost to repair would be approx £1k...
They may be a small amount of additive put in the pump supply by retailers at this time of year, also a very small amount of petrol present in the diesel will do this, going from the ones I have had to flush the tanks on, air leaks in the fuel supply can also cause smoking but is normally pale blueish.
If it's got any petrol present it will be a right shit to start as well.

Its been a while but I forgot to reply to this, was a slightly bent rod as a result of a previous cambelt snap (hence new head by Fraud). Lacking slight compression on one cylinder!
